Today We Say Goodbye to Winter and Welcome Spring!

Today We Say Goodbye to Winter

Today we say goodbye to Winter and Disney and hello to Spring. That’s right, everything Christmas and Winter-related as come down at our favorite place as we await the start of the new season’s experiences.

We are so excited to see some of the new things to be added this year, here’s what to expect:

From January 13th to February 20th Disney is debuting a new Spring festival – the Epcot International Festival of the Arts. For six weekends, we will be able to enjoy amazing food and check out new art each week.  The festival will also feature Broadway talent who will perform songs from some of Disney on Broadway’s shows including The Lion King, Newsies, Aladdin and others. Check out the event in full detail here.

Disney will also debut a new nighttime projection show at the castle in Magic Kingdom called, “Once Upon a Time”. We will see Mrs. Potts share bedtime stories with Chip where we will be taken on a visual trip through films like “Cinderella”, “Peter Pan”, “Alice in Wonderland” and “The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.” More Details about the show here.

Disney will also return the after hours event nights at Magic Kingdom. The event dates will be January 20th and 27th and will continue on February 2nd, 9, and 16th and March 2nd and 9th, 2017. This event will allow you to experience some of your favorite rides with little to no wait. More details here.

Finally, one of my favorite events, “Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival” will return from March 1st to May 29th. Disney’s biggest spring celebration will include 90 days of bringing your favorite characters to life through amazing topiary work. They will introduce a new topiary garden inspired by a vintage Walt Disney shot film and they will offer Garden Rocks Dining packages for the first time ever at the event. They will also extend the operating during the festival’s opening week. Find out more details here.

So we are very excited to see what’s to come this season. While I love fall and winter at Disney, spring and summer are such a wonderful time to go and see all of the bright colors and happy faces. Are you excited for the upcoming events? Let us know!
