Walt Disney World doesn’t offer a behind-the-scenes tour of Epcot cranes … yet (my working title: The Wonderful World of Rebuilding Epcot Experience). But it may not be needed because we can all see bits of the construction of the future from many positions within the theme park already.
I spy with my little eye …
A building for the attraction, which has been described as “one of the world’s longest enclosed roller coaster,” is going up behind the former Ellen’s Energy Adventure ride, so it’s not entirely shocking to see it from Epcot’s parking lot, parts of which skirt the edge of Future World’s backstage.
The approach from inside the park is more surprising, because Disney has managed to hide it behind a clump of trees. The work isn’t straight back from Ellen, it’s over and to the east a bit.
